ACTION Congress of Nigeria, ACN presidential aspirant, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa has declared that  nothing on earth would make him step down for any other presidential aspirant of the party.

Bafarawa made this known in Enugu while addressing South East delegates and other stake holders of the party ahead of its forthcoming primaries of the party.

The former governor of Sokoto state said he was in the area to solicit for their support, insisting that “as far as I am concerned, I will not step down for anybody.”

The ACN presidential aspirant, who was accompanied by members of his campaign organization including immediate past governor of Adamawa state, Mr.  Bony Haruna,, said he has all it takes to take the nation’s dwindling economy  to the next level, adding  that if given the mandate, he would ensure that all moribund industries in the country are revived with a view to tackling the alarming unemployment problem in the country which according to him, had been the major cause of high  crime rate  in the society.

He, however,advised  members of the party and entire Nigerian electorate  to  vote wisely this time around,  insisting that the time has come for the people  to say no to the PDP bad government which has continued to impoverish the masses for about twelve years now.

According to him, Nigerians should vote  for credible, and tested leaders with track record as himself, insisting that it is only through enthronement of  good leaders that the nation  would make headway .

On the emergence of former Vice President and PDP aspirant, Atiku Abubakar as the  Northern consensus candidate for the 2011 elections, Bafarawa said the exercise was purely for the PDP,
insisting that the arrangement has nothing to do with ACN which he said remains the party to beat in the 2011 polls.

He however, urged the south east members of the opposition party to remain resolute, steadfast and committed to the political platform, adding that they would never regret embracing it.

In his speech, a former Governor of Adamawa State, Bony Haruna, explained that  he decided to identify with his  former colleague because of  his pedigree, saying the man Bafarawa remains a tested politician who transformed  Sokoto  when he piloted the affairs of the state, urging the south east people to pitch their tent with him as he has a lot to offer the nation including south east geopolitical zone of  the country.

All the delegates from the five south east states of Anambra, Abia, Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi , who spoke at the occasion,  assured the presidential aspirant of their support  and thanked him for being the first to visit them.
