Vacillating Karabukspor striker Emmanuel Emenike has committed his international future to Nigeria after meeting with Nigeria coach Samson Siasia.
Siasia was in Turkey over the weekend to hold talks with the forward, along with captain Joseph Yobo, and the disgruntled striker has now committed his future to the Super Eagles.
Although he would not be eligible for Turkey for another three years, Emenike caused a storm when he claimed he would represent the Turks as a result of shoddy treatment from Nigeria football officials early in his career.
But officials say he was excited by the meeting with Siasia, and has now given the coach his word that he would turn out for his country of birth.
“Emenike was very excited when he was told that Siasia was coming to Turkey to find out about his international commitment,” a top team official told KickOffNigeria.com.
“And when he spoke with the coach, he was very happy with the discussion and assured him that all that was in the past and he would honour a call-up from Nigeria.”
