Pastor Ekpenyong Cobham, Director General of the Usani Governorship Campaign Council told Vanguard, yesterday in Calabar, Cross River State that the Minister had not received any notification from any organ of the party regarding the decision of the NWC of the APC.
“The Constitution of our party is clear on cases of suspension of any member; it clearly states circumstances and outlines procedures to be taken to warrant and effect a suspension and in this case, if any suspension exists, Usani’s attention should be drawn to it but if it is not in conformity with the party’s extant laws, then the suspension invariably does not exist.”.

He said the constitution of the party says any suspension should emanate from the member’s ward and in this case, it is coming from the top which makes it null and void.
He said the minster had shown total loyalty to the party which made him win his polling unit and ward in the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections, adding that nothing would deter him from pursuing his ambition and rights through the rule of law.
