PLANS by the federal government to    generate 6000 Megawatts (Mw) of electricity in the short term has received a boost following the desire of an indigenous firm Greenworldwater Africa Ltd, a subsidiary of AEHI Inc USA, to generate 11,000 Megawatts of electric power in 36 months through an innovative technology never before used in this part of the world.

Speaking with Energy Correspondents in Lagos over the weekend, the Africa Regional Representative of the company, Mr Tim Akano stated that the company is achieving this feat in conjunction with an American Company, AEHI and the China National Nuclear Agency.

According to him they would all be partnering to generate 11,000 Mw of electricity and this would be achieved through the construction of 9 Desalination plants to generate 9, 900Mw, and another 1,100 Mega watts of electricity through the Energy neutral homes scheme through solar energy.

“The construction period of a Desalination plant is expected to be 36 months with a 3billion dollars installation cost, however the interesting news is that there is a financing option if only the federal government would be willing to key into the project.

Energy Neutral home is a project expected to generate 1,100 Mw of electricity in the short term and this would relegate dependence on Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to the background”.

He stated further that if only the government can partner with the company on this project then the 6,000 Mw target of the federal government would not just be surpassed in 36 months but the building of desalination plants to boost the nation’s electricity would also generate 45,000 permanent jobs at senior and junior levels.

It will  also generate 10, 000 Mw of electricity while creating about 1 million jobs and generating a whooping 3.6 cubic meters of clean drinkable water to feed 45 million Nigerians daily.

Desalination is a nuclear driven technology that generates electricity and water and it’s the first of its kind in Nigeria.
“We are bringing a new technology that would solve the power problem in Nigeria faster than the federal government’s plan.

But Government has to lead it by buying our technology and we are going to provide  a meter which enables you to read the energy you are generating daily, even whatever is left of your generated energy would be clearly shown and this can be sent back to the national grid to either boost electricity supply to areas and regions with low sun output or stored for the rainy season when there’ll be little or no solar output at all. It is also of note that the technology is to last for 25 years and if it is damaged or develops any fault within that period we take it and change it.

The Desalination Plant is backed with an American/European quality standard in partnership with China National Nuclear Company and even the wastes generated from the Desalination Plants are returned to China for decomposition.

In order to get the money to pay government need to key in and announce that we need individuals to start building energy neutral homes now. Especially estate developers in key parts of the country, we can start from there and before long it trickles down.

We also get carbon credit as it comes with no pollution rather it neutralizes the air pollution and as such the fed. Government can generate funds from atmospheric polluters. We call this 1 technology, 8 solutions, and It brings back about 45 billion dollars into the economy yearly. (From the sales of electricity, water, salt, job creation etc).

The technology also helps in solving transmission problem of the PHCN which is currently affecting the nation’s power sector.
