Governor Kayode Fayemi was today, sworn in as Ekiti state governor at an elaborate ceremony in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

He was sworn in after the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division yesterday, sacked Segun Oni as governor in a landmark verdict.
The event was attended by Action Congress of Nigeria party big wigs, led by former Governor Bola Tinubu, former Ekiti State Governor Niyi Adebayo, former Anambra State Governor Chris Ngige, former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba, former EFCC Charmain, Nuhu Ribadu, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State among other notable Nigerians. Ondo State governor Olusegun Mimiko was also at the event.
Tinubu at the Event
Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu: ” I just need to salute you for your courage, for your strong determination, steadfastness, you refuse to be cheated, you stood for progress… I salute the leadership of the party, ACN, democracy for Justice.
“Yesterday, the Judiciary that seems despondent woke up to its responsibility and swept away the debris of all fraud. If you put armed robbers in jail why not put vote robbers behind bars.”
“Thank you Ekiti people, thank you greatest youths of Nigeria, this victory is for you….”
Ngige:
“Ekiti people I salute you ,Governor Fayemi is God sent.”
Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo:
“We give glory to God for this day. Ekiti people, congratulations.”

Translated: ‘Do not steal Fayemi’s vote , Fayemi’s vote cannot be stolen….”
