Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has expressed condolences to the family of Princess Margret Eyoanwan Ezeh, who died on July 24, 2026 at the age of 60.
Otti described her death as a rude shock, saying her passing had created a huge vacuum in the family and among those who benefited from her generosity.
The governor conveyed his condolences in a letter dated October 9, 2026, addressed to Mr Chuks Akamadu, the State Secretary of the Labour Party in Abia State.
In the letter titled, “Transition Of Princess (Deaconess) Margret Eyoanwan Ezeh, JP,” Otti said the deceased would be remembered for her exemplary character, devotion to God and contributions to the lives of others.
He described Ezeh, a mother in-law to Akamadu as a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother to her children and grandchildren, and a woman of substance.
According to him, her love and dedication to God and contributions to the work of the Lord earned her the love and admiration of many.
The governor said her legacy of charity, humility and strength of character would remain indelible in the hearts of those who knew her.
“Her death has created a huge vacuum in the family and in the hearts of all who benefited from her generosity,” he said.
Otti acknowledged the pain of losing a loved one, but urged the bereaved family to draw comfort from the purposeful life she lived and her selfless service to her generation.
He expressed hope that the family would find solace in the Christian belief in resurrection and the promise of reunion in eternity.
“On behalf of my family, friends, members and supporters of the Labour Party, the Government and good people of Abia State, I commiserate with you and the entire family on this irreparable loss,” the governor said.
He prayed that God would grant the family the courage to bear the loss and that the deceased’s soul would rest in peace.
“May God grant her gentle soul eternal rest,” Otti added.
