LAGOS — Bush Doctor Studios’ debut feature film, Anu, has been selected for a world premiere at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival in Canada.

The emotionally charged revenge thriller, directed by Temitope Jude Egwu and co-directed by Wale Ilebiyi, is scheduled to premiere in Toronto in September, alongside films from different parts of the world.

Bush Doctor Studios announced the selection on its social media platforms, urging movie lovers to anticipate the festival premiere and subsequent release of the film.

Anu features established Nollywood actors including the late Alwell Ademola, Peters Ijagbemi, Wale Ilebiyi, Sola Kosoko and Toyin Alausa.

The production also provides a platform for emerging actors, including Joshua Jinad, Daniel Adeshina, Rita Okonne, Oyinlola Opeyemi, Bazok John Abidemi and Obinna D. Gabriel.

Following its festival run, the film is expected to be released on selected streaming platforms.

Speaking on his long-term vision for Nollywood, Egwu, founder of Bush Doctor Studios and director of the film, said the company was focused on creating productions capable of leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

“The dream is to create art that captivates, thrills and entertains audiences for generations to come,” he said.
