KADUNA — The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Rt. Hon. Shehu Usman Bawa, popularly known as ABG, has urged Muslims to use the occasion of this year’s Maulud celebration to pray for an end to insecurity and economic hardship in the country.

Bawa, in a message to Muslim faithful in Kaduna State and across Nigeria, felicitated with them on the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging them to reflect on his teachings and exemplary life.

He highlighted the Prophet’s emphasis on peace, justice, compassion, tolerance, unity and love for humanity, urging Muslims to reflect those virtues in their daily lives.

The PDP candidate said Maulud should go beyond celebration, calling on Muslims to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and understanding irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences.

He urged the Muslim Ummah to offer special prayers for an end to insecurity in Kaduna State and other parts of the country, stressing that peace and security were essential for citizens to live, work and pursue their livelihoods without fear.

Bawa also called for prayers for relief from the economic hardship confronting Nigerians, noting that the challenges facing families and businesses required compassion, responsible leadership and collective efforts.

He appealed to religious and community leaders to use their platforms to promote peace, discourage hatred and foster understanding among communities.

According to him, unity and peaceful coexistence remain critical to the development, stability and prosperity of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

Bawa further urged citizens to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad by showing compassion to the less privileged, supporting vulnerable members of society and upholding justice in their dealings with others.

He prayed that Allah would accept the prayers and acts of worship of the Muslim faithful, restore lasting peace and security to Kaduna State and Nigeria, and ease the economic difficulties confronting citizens.

The PDP candidate also prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for the nation’s leaders, urging them to govern with justice, compassion and commitment to improving the welfare of the people.

He wished Muslims across Kaduna State and Nigeria a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, urging citizens to use the occasion to pray and contribute to building a peaceful, united and prosperous society.
