Fast-rising Nigerian artist Mayour and breakout street-pop singer Smur Lee have announced a collaborative single titled “Ikebe O’clock”, set to be released globally on Friday, July 31, 2026.

The artistes described the track as a fully collaborative project rather than a conventional feature, with both singers taking equal creative ownership of the Afrobeats record.

Built around energetic percussion and a high-tempo Afrobeats sound, “Ikebe O’clock” celebrates confidence, beauty and the cultural expression of African women.

Mayour leads the track with catchy hooks and an infectious vocal style, while Smur Lee contributes her signature street-inspired flows that have earned her growing recognition in Nigeria’s music scene.

The duo said the song was created as an upbeat street anthem designed to deliver a positive message while capturing the energy of contemporary African pop culture.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the record, Mayour said the collaboration was based on a shared creative vision rather than a guest appearance.

“This isn’t a song where someone just hops on a verse. ‘Ikebe O’clock’ is a shared vision. Smur Lee and I wanted to create a track that feels heavy in the clubs but remains a proud, positive anthem for African women,” he said.

He added that the recording process was filled with excitement, expressing optimism about the response from listeners when the song is released.
