Ekiyor

Prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bomadi- Patani federal constituency and other parts of the state were on ground when a leader of the party in Delta state, Dr Chief Chris Ekiyor, formally declared his aspiration in Patani local government area to represent the federal constituency in the House of Representatives next year.
The House of Representatives hopeful , Ekiyor , unveiled his programme to the people when elected, assuring the constituency of effective and efficient representation in the House of Representatives.
The former Transition Committee Chairman of Patani local government council and ex president of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC , said he was driven by the passion to address challenges of underdevelopment in the area through adequate representation.
Addressing the mammoth gathering of supporters , Ekiyor who was also a former Commissioner in the state highlighted his track record in public service , assuring constituents of purposeful representation if given the mandate. He called for unity within the party and urged supporters to remain steadfast ahead of the 2027 elections
According to a statement from his media team , Ekiyor, also emphasized his commitment to effective representation, inclusive development, and grassroots engagement , calling for unity within the party
“In his remarks, the Party Chairman, Don Zagato, stated that it would be on record that during his tenure, Patani Local Government would produce the next House of Representatives member. He expressed strong confidence in Dr Chris Ekiyor, describing him as the right candidate capable of bringing development to the people due to his close connection with the grassroots. The party Chairman Don Zagato however stated that for him as a person he has declared his full (100%) support for Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor as his preferred candidate for the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency .
“Also speaking, the Chairman of Council, Hon. Isaac Aguana, commended Dr Chris Ekiyor for his leadership and described him as a friend to all. He noted that Dr Chris Ekiyor’s goodwill and relationships make it difficult for anyone to turn down his requests for support.
“Stakeholders at the meeting expressed confidence in his candidacy, stressing that his experience and vision positions him as a strong contender to represent the interests of the Bomadi/Patani people at the federal level.
