A real estate executive and emerging voice in sales and financial intelligence, Evelyn Edumoh, recently joined global conversations on youth empowerment and financial literacy as a guest speaker at the United States Consulate in Lagos.

She explained in a statement, that the engagement formed part of the inaugural edition of the YALI Skills Lab, an initiative of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network Lagos, designed to equip young leaders with practical skills to drive meaningful change across their communities.

The session, themed “Planning for the Future: Wealth, Choices & Sustainability,” brought together a vibrant community of young professionals and change-makers seeking to deepen their understanding of financial responsibility and long-term decision-making. She noted.

Edumoh, alongside wealth coach and financial educator Sola Adesakin of Smart Stewards, led a compelling conversation that moved beyond conventional discussions about money.

Rather than focusing solely on income or financial tools, the session explored the deeper dimensions of wealth — emphasizing intentional living, disciplined decision-making, and the long-term consequences of everyday choices.

Speaking during the session, Edumoh highlighted the importance of aligning financial decisions with values and purpose, noting that true wealth is not merely accumulated but consciously built.

“Wealth without direction is noise. Choices without values are risky. Sustainability requires intention,” she said, reinforcing the need for young people to approach financial growth with clarity and responsibility. The future doesn’t just happen. It is planned — one choice at a time,” she said.

She further described the session as both energizing and necessary, emphasizing the importance of having these conversations early.

Participants were encouraged to think critically about the future they are building and the role their present choices play in shaping that outcome.

The conversation also emphasized that financial literacy is not just a technical skill, but a life skill — one that influences independence, opportunity, and long-term stability.
The United States Mission in Nigeria, in its official communication following the event, noted that the YALI Skills Lab aims to empower young African leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to excel and drive positive impact.

The session on financial literacy, facilitated by Evelyn and Adesakin, provided participants with practical insights into building healthy financial habits and planning for a secure financial future.

For the expert, the engagement reflects a growing dimension of her work — one that extends beyond her established career in real estate into broader conversations around leadership, financial intelligence, and personal development.

With over a decade of experience leading high-performing teams and executing large-scale real estate transactions, she brings a unique perspective that combines technical expertise with real-world insight.

She further asserted that her evolving role as a sales and money coach continues to position her as a trusted voice for professionals seeking not just to earn, but to build with intention.

Her collaboration with Sola Adesakin and Smart Stewards further underscores the importance of partnerships in advancing financial education across Africa.
“Together, we represent a shared commitment to equipping young leaders with the mindset, tools, and structure required for sustainable growth,” she noted.

As conversations around wealth, sustainability, and leadership continue to evolve across the continent, Evelyn Edumoh’s voice is steadily gaining prominence — bridging the gap between performance and purpose, and reminding a new generation that success is not accidental, but intentional.
