‎‎Ahead of the 2027 general election, an aspirant in Kogi State, Ohida Farouk Omeiza has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎The declaration, which took place at the open field in Karaworo, attracted party leaders, stakeholders, youth and women groups, traditional rulers, and supporters from across the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency.

‎‎In his address, Farouk stated that his ambition is driven by the desire to serve and the growing demand for effective and accountable representation in the constituency.

‎‎According to him, Adavi and Okehi LGAs are blessed with enormous human and natural resources but continue to face challenges such as youth unemployment, poor infrastructure, limited agricultural support, and inadequate representation at the federal level.

‎‎Unveiling his policy direction, the aspirant introduced a five-point development plan tagged the “PEACE Agenda,” focusing on People Empowerment, Education and Health, Agriculture and Commerce, Constituency Infrastructure, and Effective Representation.

‎‎He pledged to facilitate federal opportunities for youths and women, attract developmental projects to schools and health centers, support farmers and traders with access to funding, and ensure visible infrastructure across both local governments.

‎‎Farouk also promised transparency and accessibility, assuring constituents that he would maintain an open-door policy and provide regular updates on constituency allocations and projects.

‎‎Appealing for unity, he emphasized that his representation would prioritize collective progress over sectional interests, stating that “there will be no Adavi or Okehi, only one united constituency.”

‎‎The declaration marks the beginning of what is expected to be a keenly contested race for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency seat as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of 2027.
