BOMADI — Indigenes of Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State residing in Bayelsa State have expressed support for the lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group commended the lawmaker for what it described as sustained efforts in infrastructure development, youth training, and empowerment initiatives across the constituency.
At a meeting held in Yenagoa, participants reviewed Mutu’s performance, with representatives of various Bomadi communities in attendance.
The event opened with a prayer by Archbishop Steven Overy, Amanana-Owei of Ogodobiri Community, who prayed for peace, unity, and guidance.
Coordinator of the group, Prince Perekeme Ogbogbo, said the meeting was convened to assess the lawmaker’s track record, noting that Mutu had influenced several projects, including roads, landing jetties, electrification, classroom construction, pavements, and solar street lighting.
He added that the lawmaker had also facilitated employment opportunities for youths in the federal civil service.
Other speakers, including Mr Andakabowei Emotongha Amos (Ogbein-ama) and Mr Fred Bowene (Okoloba), commended Mutu’s contributions, saying his continued representation would sustain development in the constituency.
Additional endorsements came from representatives of Esanma, Ogodobiri, Akugbene, Bomadi, and Kpakiama communities, among others.
The group also assessed the performance of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, praising his administration’s efforts in infrastructure and human capital development, particularly in riverine communities.
The meeting concluded with a motion endorsing the re-election of Mutu and Governor Oborevwori in 2027. The motion was moved by Prince Ogbogbo, seconded by a delegate from Ogriagbene Community, and unanimously adopted by the Bomadi diaspora group in Bayelsa State.
