Gospel artiste, Moses Abutu, has released a new worship single titled Higher, describing it as a personal testimony of faith and reassurance rooted in God’s word.

The singer said the song was inspired during a difficult season of his life.

“I received an assurance from God in a place of worship when nothing seemed to be working,” he said.

According to Abutu, Higher is intended to encourage people facing challenges and remind them of the power of Scripture. Part of the song is rendered in Idoma language.

“The word of God can work through your situation if you put it to work,” he said. “Whatever you take to God, He always has a turnaround.”

He urged listeners to rely on faith rather than external pressures.

“Everyone that listens to this song should learn to put pressure on the word of God, not on anything or anyone on the outside,” he added.

Speaking on the meaning of the title, the artiste described Higher as a declaration of possibility.

“For me, Higher is an assurance from God that if I can believe, all things are possible,” he stated.

Abutu cited Psalm 119:130 as a key inspiration, noting that the passage speaks about God’s word bringing light and understanding. He also referenced 1 Kings 3:7, where Solomon acknowledged his inadequacy and sought divine wisdom.

According to him, what began as a personal prayer during a trying period later evolved into the song Higher.

He encouraged gospel music lovers to see the single as both a worship expression and a reminder of God’s ability to transform difficult situations.
