An Islamic organisation, Hizbullahi International Prayer Outreach Ministry (HIPOM), has announced the removal and disassociation of Alhaji Moshkoor Hassan from the group.
The decision was conveyed in a notice issued on Saturday and signed by the leadership of the ministry, Sheikh Sirajudeen Akanni Asukuna, which was made available to journalists in Lagos.
According to the statement, the action was taken on behalf of the National Executive and the National Mission Board of HIPOM under the leadership of Sheikh Asukuna.
“This is to formally inform the general public that Alhaji Moshkoor Hassan has been removed and disassociated from HIPOM,” the statement read.
It further stated that, following the decision, Hassan is no longer the Branch Missioner of the society and is not authorised to act for or represent HIPOM in any official capacity.
The leadership of the organisation also directed him to return all property belonging to the society to its secretariat without delay, including a plot of land reportedly acquired by the group.
Sheikh Asukuna advised members of the public to take note of the development, cautioning against engaging in any official dealings with Hassan on behalf of the ministry.
“Consequently, the general public is advised that he is no longer a member of the society and does not have the mandate to transact or act in the name of HIPOM,” the statement added.
No further details were provided on the circumstances surrounding the decision.
