The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has commended Tamrose Limited for its commitment to maximizing the opportunities provided under the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund (NCIF) and for delivering on its obligations.

Lokpobiri gave the commendation at an event titled “Celebration of Growth and Impact”, held at the NCDMB Conference Hall in Yenagoa and organised by Tamrose Limited.

The Minister praised the partnership between the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Tamrose, highlighting the company’s impressive expansion from four to 15 offshore support vessels.

“We believe this is the right way to go,” Lokpobiri said, urging other indigenous companies to take advantage of similar funding opportunities to expand their operations, deepen capacity, and create more jobs in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He specifically commended both Tamrose and the NCDMB for their shared achievements.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Engr. Omatsola Ogbe, said Tamrose’s growth demonstrates what Nigerian talent, innovation, and ownership can achieve when adequately supported.

Ogbe, represented by the General Manager, Capacity Development, Esueme Dan-Kikile, noted that through the NCIF, Tamrose has evolved from a modest operator into a leading marine logistics company. He announced that the company has fully repaid its $10 million facility, joining more than 20 indigenous firms that have met their repayment obligations.

He further disclosed that a new Nigerian Content Equity Fund (NCEF) will soon be launched to provide long-term capital for Nigerian companies in high-impact sectors.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Tamrose Limited, Ambrose Ovbiebo, described the event as a celebration of growth and impact, as well as a moment for reflection.

Ovbiebo explained that Tamrose’s success is rooted in its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer-focused service—values that guide the company’s operations and its dedicated workforce.

He confirmed that the transformational loan extended to the company had been fully repaid, on schedule and without a single missed instalment. He credited the support of the NCDMB as a key catalyst for the company’s growth.

Ovbiebo expressed appreciation to the Executive Secretary for his leadership and consistent support to Tamrose.

Stakeholders and partners at the event commended the company for its integrity, accountability, and commitment, which ensured the successful repayment of the $10 million loan and contributed to its remarkable growth.
