Great Ogboru
By Akpobaro Onovosa
Ever since the advent of the fourth Republic, Delta state, despite its numerous and abundant resources has been severely mismanaged by cohorts who are bereaved of modern ideologies to advance the state trajectorily.
Apart from its mineral resources, Delta state is blessed with very resilient men and women who are making waves in so many endeavours.
Why are Deltans still enmeshed in abject poverty? Why are majority of our youths still become unemployed? Why are we suffering in the midst of plenty? What is the way forward? All these questions are very germane ones whose solution lies in the 2027 election, if we collectively vote wisely this time around.
Deltans, it is time to rise in unison and reject every member of the failed political class who have contributed one way or another to bleeding the state dry and much more to destroying the destiny of this potentially great state blessed with resourceful and resilient men and women.
The personage of Great Ovedje Ogboru is awesome. Have we ever asked ourselves why he is so persistent vying for the governorship position of the state?
This is because, he has something very different and unique approach to the governance of the state. We have to give him a chance in 2027 to implement his policies, top of which are Manufacturing and Industrilization which is alien to the leaders of the state currently.
Delta state shall be great again under the leadership of Great Ogboru. Those who personally know him can attest to this fact.
Through tenacity and hardwork, Ogboru became a millionaire at 25 and a multimillionaire at 28. He is comfortable financially, that’s why he cannot embezzle the government‘s money. He is a very successful international business man whose financial history is known by some sensitive institutions like CBN and EFCC. He is abidely blessed with business acumen which he ultimately wants to introduce Delta State to, when given the chance in 2027. We have been moving round circles with the governance of the state for too long a time. It’s high time we tried a different approach.
There are some speculations about the party he is, at the moment. Most Deltans are vehemently saying Ogboru has pitched his tent with the African Democratic Congress, ADC. I strongly believe that after this gestation period, and as 2027 draws nearer we shall be abreast with the true situation as to where he belongs.
The ADC is focusing on building a strong, grassroots-based political structure in Delta State and across Nigeria. Even more so, the ADC is a deliberate intervention born out of a necessity by a coalition of individuals who recognise that Nigeria is sliding dangerously toward a one party state.
Therefore, it is a conscious response to a political Vacuum.
Deltans want to be happy once again. Apart from the usual driving of “Keke”, there’s nothing happening in the State again. As we collectively look forward to a new dawn in 2027, let us all educate our uneducated citizens about the new and obvious way to go in 2027. We need a Change. Together, we can put an end to the continued assault on our collective psyche by using the awesome power of our votes to liberate and change the political and economic trajectory of our dear Delta State teeming with the man called “the Peoples General” – Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru in the 2027 elections. He would create a consciousness that values merits, justice and shared destiny. It is high time our elections in Delta state revolved around sound and workable ideas and not identities. Great Ogboru represents a vestige of greatness that can still be found in a world that has gone awry. To very many dry throats, he serves as a rivulet of hope against the droughts of despair and dissolution. This time around, he would have to accommodate the whole of Delta State as his main objective. We are blessed in Delta State to excel and as such we must take our rightful position in the comity of states of this Country, Nigeria.
His own politics is not to intimidate people but to affect the lives of a great majority of the people in the State. With cautions optimism, Deltans this time around, would open their eyes to the one truth that has been eluding them since time past, shine their eyes and support Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru in his quest to enthrone a new narrative in the governance of Delta state come 2027, God willing.
