Less than three months after the Lagos State Tenancy Bill scaled through second reading at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Property company, Simpleroomsng, has said its zero per cent commission online rental platform will transform the way Nigerians find and secure rental properties.

The firm said it would directly connect landlords and tenants, eliminating the need for agents, significantly reducing costs and streamlining the rental process for everyone.

In July, the Lagos State Tenancy Bill titled: ‘A Bill for a Law to Regulate the Relationship between Landlords and Tenants in Lagos State Including the Procedure for the Recovery of Premises and for connected purposes,’ scaled the second reading.

It was said that the bill would redefine the legal framework governing tenancy agreements, rights, responsibilities and the processes for eviction in the state.

Mr Stephen Ogundipe had said the bill would address all aspects of tenancy, from agent engagement to rent payment terms and dispute resolution.

Similarly, Simpleroomsng would tackle hefty agent commissions and hidden fees in states like Lagos.

Speaking on the development, Biodun Olusesan said: “We are incredibly excited to introduce Simpleroomsng, a platform built on the principles of fairness and efficiency. We believe that finding a home or a reliable tenant shouldn’t come with exorbitant fees.”

Meanwhile, the platform would ensure direct landlord-tenant connection, AI-Powered Interactions, track property performance, chat directly with tenants, and access full records of listings and communications.
