…pledges boost in Nigeria’s scientific equipment sector
The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sammeny Scientific Equipment Ltd, Mr. Ikape Egboja, has sent warm greetings to the Igede Nation as they celebrate this year’s Igede Agba Festival.
Mr. Egboja said the festival stands as a proud reminder of the rich cultural identity of the Igede people, describing it as a season of thanksgiving, joy, and unity. He explained that Igede Agba is more than a time of merriment — it is a celebration of resilience, hard work, and the strong communal spirit that has kept the people together through generations.
According to him, the festival has continued to attract admiration far beyond Benue State because of its colorful cultural displays, traditional dances, and the spirit of brotherhood it inspires. He prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in Igede land and urged the younger generation to uphold the values of humility, gratitude, and togetherness that the celebration represents.
Away from his goodwill message, Mr. Egboja is also making his mark in Nigeria’s scientific and industrial sector. As the CEO of Sammeny Scientific Equipment Ltd, a company established over two decades ago and headquartered in Abuja, he has built a brand that is trusted nationwide for the supply of quality laboratory and scientific machinery. Sammeny provides critical support to hospitals, universities, research centers, and industries, playing an important role in strengthening innovation and education in the country.
Mr. Egboja further reassured Nigerians that there is no need for panic over the availability of scientific tools, as Sammeny Scientific, working hand-in-hand with its foreign partners, will soon begin local manufacturing of scientific and laboratory equipment in Nigeria. This, he said, will reduce dependence on imports, create employment opportunities, and enhance Nigeria’s self-reliance in scientific and industrial development.
Under his leadership, Sammeny has earned a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and prompt service. Mr. Egboja’s role as both a cultural ambassador and corporate leader demonstrates how tradition and innovation can go hand in hand, showing the Igede Nation and Nigeria at large that true progress is rooted in heritage while focused on the future.
