Hon. Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi, Special Adviser to Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State on Local Government Affairs, has urged youths in the state—particularly those from Kaduna South Local Government Area—to be intentional in their pursuit of success across both formal and informal sectors of the economy.

He made the call during a special Sallah dinner he hosted for over 100 vibrant youths from the Team Jarimi group—individuals recognized for their significant role in promoting Governor Uba Sani’s achievements throughout the state.

Among the guests were 21 dedicated youths selected from the 13 wards of Kaduna South. They are part of a larger group of 120,000 young people set to benefit from the ongoing empowerment initiative.

“These youths have consistently highlighted the developmental efforts of Governor Uba Sani and deserve recognition for their contributions,” Hon. Jarimi said.

As part of the empowerment effort, each beneficiary received ₦500,000 to either launch a small business or expand an existing one. The initiative, he noted, aligns with Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment and self-reliance.

“This gesture is a life-changing opportunity aimed at cultivating a generation of self-sufficient and productive citizens,” he added.

Jarimi expressed profound gratitude to Governor Sani for believing in him, mentoring him, and offering political opportunities despite his initial inexperience. He also thanked members of Team Jarimi for their steadfast support and reiterated the Governor’s dedication to youth inclusion, economic empowerment, and lasting peace in Kaduna State.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds, grow their businesses, and remain ambassadors of progress and unity. He also charged the group to stay consistent and resolute in showcasing the Governor’s achievements.

The beneficiaries, overwhelmed with gratitude, lauded the Governor’s generosity and described him as a rare breed among politicians—especially in contrast to previous administrations. They pledged to use the grants wisely, strengthen their businesses, and continue to support Governor Sani’s administration while contributing to the prevailing peace in the state.

The evening reached an emotional peak when Hon. Jarimi was presented with an Appreciation Award by his 2018 Ward Coordinators—recognizing his leadership and the bond formed during his first political campaign for Kaduna South LG Chairman.
