Kwara Rep, Saba gives 15,000 less privileged, 30 million worth of Ramadan package, cash grant

Hon Ahmed Adamu Saba, representing Edu,Moro and Pategi Local government areas of Kwara state,in House of Representatives on Monday gave over 30 million naira worth of Ramadan Packages and cash grant to 15,000 less privileged women,men youth and the vulnerable people in his constituency.

Speaking during the distribution of the food items and cash grant ,the federal legislator explained that the initiative was meant to alleviate the sufferings of the people in the constituency based on the current harsh economic realities .

Adamu – Saba said the items were given to members of the constituency irrespective of their political, religious or ethnic background.noting that the gestures among others were targeted at supporting the vulnerables at the grassroot.

“Members of other political parties are here,so it’s not an APC affair,and I can also tell you that some Christians are here too because they’re also fasting.So the beneficiaries cut across political parties and religion affiliation”he said.

The federal lawmaker also noted that another 10 million naira had been set aside to take care of those who were not captured in the initial arrangements.

The lawmaker said he was using the Ramadan period to interface with his people to know their need and discuss the best way to attend to them.

He further said that the gesture was inline with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration of taking care of the less privileged and the vulnerable in the society.

Adamu -Saba also noted that arrangements have been put in place to train more women and youth in skills acquisition to make them self reliant.

He advised those who had been trained earlier to ensure that they do not sell but utilise the materials given to them to enable them become employer of labour.

In his remarks, on behalf of the community leaders in Edu,Moro and Pategi federal constituency, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu-Dumagi expressed joy with the distribution of the items to the less privileged in the area .

He urged other wealthy individuals to emulate same in giving back to the society to reduce the hardship being experienced by the common man.

Alhaji Kudu-Dumagi advised the beneficiaries not to sell the item given to them, adding that they should use the same to support their family.
