His Eminence, Apostle Solomon Moses Mustapha (Babasebioba) has advised  believers to embrace love because love is patient and kind.

According to him, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

The cleric said that love is the foundation of Christianity and if you want to prove that you are a Christian, the foundation of love is  your proof.

Apostle Solomon took his Sunday sermon from the the book of 1 Corinthians 13: 1-2, 34 which says “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing

If you are on motion and you approach a junction where your way forward seemed blocked, it means stagnation and it could be that the enemies are at work. Enemy could shut doors of progress against you and you do everything possible for a way out. To some, enemies will bind them with frustration and perpetually in captivity.

 On this special service, everyone in captivity of the enemy shall be released in Jesus name

Uniqueness of Sabbath day

On Sabbath day like this, a woman  was delivered of her disease in the Bible and likewise a man who suffered paralysis for 38  years was delivered. In the Bible, Jesus healed a paralyzed man who had been ill for 38 years at the Pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem.

The story is told in John 5:1-15 “After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic 1 called Bethesda, 2 which has five roofed colonnades.

 3 In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed. 4 says, “For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had”. 

 He was eventually healed and I declare that on this platform that freedom has come your life in Jesus name

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him,Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. Same way, on this Sabbath day, my God will release you from every form of captivity in Jesus name

John 13:35 says “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”.

Let love reign in your home, between husband and wife, in your life, let love reign and your home will not scatter in Jesus name.

We have been discussing the fruit of the spirit and love previously but as the spirit leads, we shall dwell on same love in perspective in this service.

Significance of love

Love is very significant. Love is the foundation of Christianity and if you want to prove that you are a Christian, love is  your  foundation to do that and this would be demonstrated  in your life.

Few things you must understand about this love:

John 13:34 says, “A new commandment I give you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another”.

In this verse, Jesus is giving his followers a new commandment to love one another, just as he has loved them. Jesus’s command is to love others in an unselfish way, by doing things for their benefit and seeking the best for them.

Jesus gave this commandment to his closest followers, the disciples, as he prepared them for his departure. Jesus intended that his followers’ love for one another would identify them as his disciples.

You must love  the brethren. You must prove it and show it practically in respect for elders.

Love will humble you and make you to show respect for others. You will respect both men and women in the church and outside the church.  love give birth to fear of God. You won’t allow evil in the life of the one you love.

Love can easily forgive instead of harbouring. Love makes you to easily assemble people together. To some , they are not interested in a dying soul, won’t invite them to church for their salvation because, they have fought them so much in the community.

Show love much more to those who annoyed you because, it’s rare for an outsider to annoy you.

Love forgives

.Ephesians 4:31-32  says “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you”

Love covereth sin in 1peter 3:8 Love covers a multitude of sins” means that love seeks to deal with flaws and failures and sins quietly and kindly. Love wants peace, not conflict, and holiness, not sin.

 Let us love one another and even if your neighbor is not of your religion, show him love. The love you show will attract them that you are truly a child of God. The Bible said that by this the world will know that you are my disciples.By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” appears in John 13:35.

Let us do the work of the master  and get prepared for very soon , he  appears. In John 9:4, Jesus said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

1 Corinthians 13: 1-2 says “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love”.

The greatest of them all is love. I charge you by this word to invite your enemy to church and heard what he will say. Stop fighting your husband, pick up your phone call him or her. you must have made up your mind not to call your father again because you are fighting, call them and make  peace with them now and God will liberate you from captivity of the enemy.
