BENIN CITY – EDO youths through the Edo Youth Parliament have called on the incoming governor of the state, Sen. Monday Okpebholo who will be sworn in on Tuesday as the next governor of the state to make education, youth development, and community welfare and economic development as his areas of priority.
The Youth Parliament made this call through its Speaker, Rt. Hon. Prince Fawaz Muhammad in a message released to herald a new administration in the state where he also expressed the readiness of the youths to support the new governor and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa called for youth inclusivity in the administration.
In the message, Muhammad said “We believe that under your leadership, Edo State will experience significant advancements in youth development, education, economic empowerment, and community welfare. We are confident that this administration will bring hope, opportunity, and progress to every young person in Edo State.
“In this spirit, we humbly encourage your administration to prioritize youth inclusivity within the cabinet and in policies that impact our state.
“By engaging the perspectives and energy of Edo’s youth, this administration has the unique opportunity to foster a more innovative, united, and dynamic Edo State.”
He said “The Edo State Youth Parliament, as a key initiative of the Executive arm of the Edo State Government, eagerly anticipates the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with your administration.
We are excited about the potential for a dynamic partnership that will drive innovation, generate employment, and empower Edo’s youth to play a leading role in shaping our state’s future through active civic engagement. Together, we can unlock the full potential of our young people and create a lasting impact for Edo State.”
