The Ashmusy Foundation held its inaugural Boss Up Empowerment event on October 27, 2024 ,at Lagos Vintano Hotel, granting ₦500,000 each to ten Nigerian women entrepreneurs. In addition to the funding, recipients received customized equipment, including sewing machines and filming kits worth two million naira, to expand their businesses in fields like fashion, beauty and content creation.
While highlighting the foundation’s goal to drive positive change through female entrepreneurship, the founder, Amarachi Amusi popularly known as Ashmusy said “By investing in these women, we are investing in a brighter future for Nigeria.”
Beyond financial support, the event offered mentorship and networking opportunities. Nollywood actresses – Uche Ogbodo and Anita Joseph shared insights on resilience and the role of women in economic growth.
The beneficiaries include Adakwu Oluchukwu Cromwell of The Virgin Flaurel, Sylla Nbalu of Puritys Kitchen,
Uzochukwu Ginika Esther Lucy of Lucee Makeover, Emediong George Harry of Emmy’s Fashion Hub, and Kolawole Anuoluwapo Adewunmi of Sisi Maria.
In attendance were popular personalities in Nigeria’s social media space including business coach Joy Eghebi (Jacbell), actress Uche Elendu, Tosin Silverdam, Waris Olayinka Akinwande (Ola of Lagos), Jennifer Onyekwelu (Jennifrank), Cute Abiola and several others.
