A renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr Adebola Akindele, has bagged the South-West Hall of Fame at the 2024 Synergy Meritorious Award, which was held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Akindele, in his speech, commended the organisers and urged South-West youths to strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
Also, Chief executive officer of Nord Motors, Mr Oluwatobi Ajayi, was awarded the Man of the Year Award, while Mr Olabode Oluwadamilare, a popular influencer on X, formerly Twitter, bagged the South-West social media trailblazer of the year award.
Addressing newsmen at the event, Convener of the award, Adewale Kazeem, harped on the need to celebrate brilliant minds.
He said: “The Synergy Awards is an annual ceremony honouring outstanding personalities, youths, and students in the South-West who have made significant impacts in their respective fields and industries, including tech, entrepreneurship, entertainment, business, and more.”

Producer of the award, Olayemi Akinwande, on her part, identified the challenges they faced while organising the event.
She said: “Despite facing numerous challenges, including economic constraints, financial difficulties, and lack of support, the organisers remained committed to making history. For the first time in the Southwest, the Synergy Awards united individuals from various states, fostering unity and excellence.”
