Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has sworn in Dr. Law Mefor as the new Commissioner for Information, replacing Mr. Paul Nwosu who was sacked just hours earlier.

During the ceremony at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government House, Awka, Governor Soludo emphasized the critical need for accurate and timely information dissemination, noting that Mefor brings valuable experience and expertise to rejuvenate the state’s information apparatus ¹ ²[3).

Mefor, a seasoned writer, public speaker, and media personality with over 25 years of experience, outlined his plans to promote media literacy among the public. He aims to collaborate with media organizations to provide critical thinking tools, prevent misinformation, and leverage technology to modernize the state’s information ministry, making it more responsive, efficient, and accessible.

As a veteran in research and analytical support across various sectors, Mefor is well-equipped to drive Governor Soludo’s vision forward.
