We are poised to advance HVAC solutions in Nigeria  – Akinola, Noltec boss

…as Noltec partners Johnson Control Hitachi to unveil state of the art HVAC solutions technology.

Noltec Engineering and Technical Services Limited has partnered with Johnson Controls Hitachi, a leading provider of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing solutions to introduce cutting-edge products tailored for industrial and commercial applications.

The collaboration, aimed at advancing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technology in Nigeria held in Lagos, brought together architects, engineers, developers, consultants, and industry stakeholders to witness the introduction of innovative Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems designed to address Nigeria’s unique climate and energy needs.

Speaking at the unveiling, Akinyinka Akinnola, Managing Director of Noltec Engineering said the strategic partnership between Noltec Engineering and Johnson Controls Hitachi signifies a commitment to enhancing market reach and providing localized support to customers across Nigeria.

He emphasized the importance of the collaboration stating, “Noltec is committed to introducing advanced air conditioning technologies across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in Nigeria and setting new standards in HVAC technology and solutions.

Akinnola highlighted Noltec’s core competencies in mechanical and electrical engineering, specializing in air conditioning, plumbing, water, fire protection, and general infrastructure.

The event showcased not only Hitachi’s cutting-edge air conditioning systems but also collaborative offerings from Noltec’s partners, including ERA, a Russian industrial equipment manufacturer specializing in extractor fans, and Sanda, a Chinese company renowned for cooling devices for industrial equipment.

Ahmed El Dessouki, Regional Sales Director for Johnson Controls Hitachi Middle East and Africa, emphasized the technical superiority of the newly introduced VRF systems. 

He unveiled the revolutionary “Air 365” modular VRF system, highlighting its capability to connect side discharge VRF units into a cohesive system ranging from 8 to 72 horsepower. 

Dessouki also introduced the “365 Max” series, featuring VRF systems with capacities of up to 212 horsepower, boasting industry-leading energy efficiency ratios and competitive pricing strategies.

On his part, Akinnola explained the market landscape in Nigeria highlighting the country’s rapid economic expansion and the pivotal role of infrastructure development in driving growth. 

“The increasing sophistication of buildings, including high-rises, new hotels, and commercial centers, demands innovative air conditioning solutions,” he said.

Addressing challenges related to fluctuating currency exchange rates, Akinnola emphasized Noltec’s resilience amidst economic fluctuations, “We remain adaptable and focused on delivering quality solutions to our clients,” he said.

Mr. Igor Makarov, Export Manager for ERA Group, mentioned the innovative features and benefits of ERA’s ventilation systems, promising improved indoor air quality and environmental comfort for consumers in Nigeria.

The launch event concluded with an optimistic outlook on the future of engineering solutions in Nigeria, positioning Noltec Engineering as a key player driving innovation and sustainability in the HVAC sector.
