…endorse him for 2027 presidency

The leaders and stakeholders of the All Progress Congress, APC, in Benue State have passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu’s leadership. They also endorsed him for a second term and urged him to run for presidency in 2027.

The party took the position weekend at the end of its Special Congress held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Reading the resolutions of the congress, Elder statesman, Senator Jack Gyado conveyed members’ appreciation of the leadership qualities of President Tinubu and the reforms introduced by his administration as well as the achievements recorded by his government in the last nine months.

He stated that “Benue State APC, wishes to note that in this period of the last nine months, the administration of President Tinubu has put in efforts and policies to steer Nigeria and particularly Benue state towards a trajectory of progress and development.”

The Congress noted that “the installation of solar-powered streetlights in major towns, within the state including Makurdi the state capital through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, SDG’s is a testament to the commitment to sustainable solutions.

“This has not only enhanced safety but has also created a more vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our citizens. President Tinubu’s dedication to addressing the needs of all Nigerians and the people of Benue State was further underscored by the allocation of substantial funds.

“The N5billion post-subsidy removal fund, which accompanied trucks of palliatives, N9 billion Infrastructure Fund, and a N30billion Subnational Intervention Fund have collectively infused N44 Billion into the state coffers. This, if properly utilised will elevate the standard of living and foster economic growth.

“The infrastructure development initiative, epitomized by the commencement of the Makurdi-Enugu-9th Mile road, incorporating a flyover at Wurukum Roundabout in Makurdi marks a magnificent milestone.

“The Minister for Works, Dave Umahi recently flagged off this transformative project in Makurdi last month, showcasing President Tinubu’s commitment to modernizing transportation networks and improving connectivity.”

The party also expressed appreciation to the President for the appointment of Senator George Akume, the Leader of the APC in Benue State, as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, “This, coupled with several other key appointment for our sons, signifies a commitment to inclusive governance, where merit and competence are recognized.

“The Benue State APC, with a unanimous voice, passes a vote of confidence on President Tinubu, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the SGF, Senator Akume, and the National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje.

“We proudly endorse and compel President Tinubu to run for the presidency in 2027, we believe that his leadership will guide our nation to new heights of prosperity, unity and inclusive development.”
