… as Jideh Ologeh becomes BoT member

Adeniji Omirin, the managing Director of Adnon Communications Limited, has emerged the new president of the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria ,EMCOAN.
Omirin returned unopposed at the general elections of the association held Thursday, in Lagos.
He succeeded Jideh Ologeh, whose tenure as the president of EMCOA expired recently.
Other executive elected were: Chinedu Ugwu (1st Vice President), Patrick Doyle (, 2nd Vice President,), Steve Alayande who returned as the General Secretary, Mrs Anita Aggarrey-Oke retained her position as Financial Secretary, while Mr Longe Omolaja returned as welfare secretary .

However, after the inauguration of the new leadership of the association, Omirin immediately announced that the immediate past president ,Mrs Jibeh Ologeh has been elevated to the position of a member of BoT of the association to fill the vacuum created following the demise of a former member.
Other BoT members include Chief Opa Williams (Chairman), Agatha Amata and Emeka Ossai.
In his acceptance speech, Omirin promised to take EMCOAN to the next level, soliciting the support of the members to achieve his dream for the association.
Also, in her speech, Ologeh thanked EMCOAN members for the support they gave her while her tenure lasted.
According to her, the recognition of EMCOAN as a sectoral body of the Advertising Regulatory council of Nigeria (ARCON) was the high point of her administration’s achievements.
She also stated that the establishment of the first electronic media content market in Nigerian – NEMCEA which is in it’s third edition this year stands the association out as a formidable force in the motion picture industry.
