Plaza Owners Association, PLOWASS of Lagos International Trade Fair has commissioned its new International business complex ‘United Plaza.

The president of PLOWASS, Hon. Innocent Nwamene, who is also Chairman of Centino Global Nigeria said that newly built international business complex, at Aspamda, International Trade Fair, Ojo, Lagos, would boost auto spare parts trade in Africa.

According to him, the financing of the project was done by members of PLOWASS who pulled resources to build the complex, purchase patrol van; constructed an interlock access road, all in a bid to ease business.

“At the inception of this administration, we made so many promises of developmental projects that will enhance the condition of our complex. Our achievements within this short period are; interlocking of the access roads and construction of drainages in our complex, provision of security patrol vehicle with police presence and also consent given to banks to commence full banking operations in the complex”, he said.

“I humbly maintain that if we continue with the same zeal, our great association will be a shining star that will lead and others follow”, he added.

Meanwhile, the special guest of honour, the senator representing Anambra-South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Ubah who expressed joy over the state -of-art facilities at the complex, noted that government needed to do more in policies formation to ease the rigours of doing business. The Senator while receiving award from PLOWASS, donated N2 million and 50 solar lights to the complex.

The pioneer president of PLOWASS, Chief Lawrence Agu , commended her members for self-funding the building of the complex. He stated that the commission of the project would create awareness and benefit stakeholders in many ways.

“There is a lot of gain when you commission a place. It makes it open for people to understand that such a place exists. Moreover, the valuation of this property by estate-valuers would benefit property owners in the complex and this would enable them to transact their business with banks and otherwise.” He said.

Former Executive Director of Trade fair Management Board, and mother of the day, Lucy Ajayi expressed her delight at the commissioning noting that the project which commenced during her tenure has now been achieved. She said that government needs to do more to support businesses in Nigeria. She equally called on Nigerians to pray for the country.
