LAGOS—FOUR out of nine candidates of political parties contesting for the Lagos State House of Assembly election on March 9, 2019, have reeled out various plans that will evolve sustainable development in Kosofe Constituency if elected.

The candidates spoke during a debate, tagged: House of Assembly Debate, Kosofe 2019, organised by management of Kosofe Post, an online media outfit, held in Anthony Village, weekend.
Candidates present at the debate were: Adebayo Adimula, from Kosofe Constituency, Liberation Movement, Mary Abojeh, Kosofe Constituency I, The African Democratic Congress, ADC, Olawole Amoussa, Kosofe Constituency I, Young Progressives Party, YPP, and Ohafugor Francis, Kosofe Constituency II, Action Democratic Party, ADP, while Tunde Braimoh and Babatunde Okanlawon, both of All Progressives Congress, APC and Moyosore Ogunlewe and Dele Oluoye, both of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were absent at the event.

Presenting their manifestoes, the candidates said there was the need to accelerate and evolve sustainable developmental projects in the areas.
In her speech, Abojeh of the ADC, said: “Everyone must be involve in the progress of our constituency. We have been under represented for years past; this is time to have a true representative that has the love of people at heart.”
Also speaking, Amoussa of YPP said: “Our past leaders and representatives have been cheating us and not lived up to expectation. We have not being fairly represented. I’m ready to bring about a sustainable development to Kosofe through creditable and able representation if elected.”
While urging the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies to ensure free, fair and credible poll, Amoussa urged voters to come out en-masse to vote for candidate of their choice without fear or intimidation on Saturday. March 9, 2019.
Earlier in her address, the Administration Manager of Kosofe Post, Mrs. Motunrayo Soyomi, explained that the aim of the event was to provide opportunity for candidates to interact and present their manifestoes to the electorate and members of the constituent as well as evaluates the relevance of each candidate in building Kosofe in the next four years.
