The national president of Urhobo National Youth Movement, UNYM, Mr Alex Idu has urged Urhobo Kingdom and Deltans in general to come out en masse and cast their votes for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the March 9 governorship election.
While addressing a crowd in Ughelli, Mr Alex Idu stressed the need for Okowa to be re-elected to enable him “continue to steer the state to greater heights,” describing the governor as “a true democrat and a sterling performer,” despite the handicap of limited resources available to his government.
Idu said: “There are several projects across the local government areas in the state that the governor has embarked on and completed despite economic challenges. A true leader’s capacity could truly be measured during difficult times and Okowa has proven himself in this regard and as such, deserved a second term.”
He called on all Urhobo, youths and Deltans to be more united in their support for Okowa and speak with one voice “to ensure that all our votes go to Okowa on March 9th to consolidate on the gains of democracy he had brought to Delta State in general.”
