An International Conference  on Re-diagnosing  Africa’s development and security problems is to hold at the Witshall Club Conference hall, University of Witwatersrand, University of Johannesburg, South Africa between 25 and 27, September, 2018.

According to one of the conveners of the conference, Professor Victor Ojakorotu of the Department of  Politics and International Relations, North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa, The conference is to discuss a number of setbacks that  the African continent has faced since independence.  ‘

He further stated that  Slavery and colonialism have given way to globalism, Empires and Kingdom  have collapsed into democracies. Barbarism and human sacrifice have given way to liberal religions while the era of privmivism in skills, science and technology have been replaced with unlimited availability of knowledge through the internet.

Moreso, Africans are now widely spread in their homeland and the diaspora where they compete around the world, but African continent still faces same old problems of poverty, terrorism,, sit-tight leadership, underdevelopment  etc.

The keynote address during the conference is to be delivered by Professor Mncedisi Maphalala, Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Zululand, South Africa and other conference conveners include Professor Dayo Akinbobola, Department of economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; Dr Kayode Eesuola, Department of Political science, University of Lagos, Nigeria
