Reps received N323m for constituency projects in three years —Ahwinahwi

UGHELLI—House of Representatives member, representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu constituency of Delta State, Mr. Solomon Ahwinahwi, has disclosed that members of the House received a total of N323 million for constituency projects in three years.

Ahwinahwi, while unveiling his scorecard to journalists at Oto-Udu, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, also noted that he will be seeking re-election in 2019 to consolidate on his achievements.

Giving a breakdown of his achievements, the lawmaker who was represented by his Senior Legislative aide, Ese Urhibo, cited underfunding of the 2017 budget as the reason for the stalling of some projects in his constituency, adding that he will be doing more towards ensuring that the people of the area get the dividends of democracy accrued to them.

He said: “Despite receiving N100million in 2016, N110million in 2017 and N113million in 2018 for constituency projects, we have been able to achive a lot for the people and I promise to do more when re-elected.

“We also plan to establish 33 mini-hair dressing saloons in the constituency with one in each of the wards in Udu, Ughelli North and Ughelli South councils.”
