PORT HARCOURT—Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, has stated that no rational person in the state will fail to acknowledge the major transformation taking place across the state.

Speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt yesterday, when he received the lawmaker representing Tai state constituency, Mr. Mathew Dike, who defected to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from All Progressive Congress, APC, Wike commended the former APC legislator for seeing the light.

He said the new PDP lawmaker will enjoy the full benefits of his membership.

According to Wike, “no rational person in Rivers State will say we are not massively developing the state in line with our campaign promises.”

The state Chairman of PDP, Mr. Felix Obuah, said Dike’s defection has moved with the last set of APC members to PDP in Tai council.

Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani said Wike’s works are attracting more people to PDP.

Speaking,  Dike said his defection was engineered by Tai people.

He said any politician not following Wike in Rivers State is doing the state a disservice.
