NIGERIAN Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, will on March 9 at it’s multi-purpose hall hold its inaugural lecture on the topic “Human being, being human: Theological Anthro-pology in the African Context” to be delivered by Prof. Ezekiel Nihinlola, the president of the seminary.
A statement by the seminary said the lecture is part of activities lined up to comme-morate the seminary’s 120 years of existence. The institu-tion will also be hosting the 15th edition of International Theological Education Con-ference between March 6 and 8 with the theme “The Dev-elopment of Theological Edu-cation in Africa: History, Cha-llenges and Prospects”. Partici-pants are expected from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun and other countries around the world.
During the celebration, Prof Nihinlola, winner of 2018 scholar learner of the year in recogni-tion of his outstanding scholar-ship, exemplary faithfulness and leadership in theological education excellent perform-ance of a leader in the world, will be conferred with the honour by Scholar Leaders from the US.
Other activities slated for the anniversary include the dedication of a new academic complex, anniversary lecture, book presentation, fund raising, community hymn singing and an appreciation service scheduled for May 3-5, 2018.
