No crack in Rivers APC, we are politicking — Stakeholders

By Egufe Yafugborhi

PRO-RIVERS state All Progressives Congress (APC) group, Free Rivers Development Initiative, FRDI, has accused the media and detractors of blowing raging conflict of interests in the party towards 2019 out of proportion, saying “there is no division in Rivers APC”

President General of the group, Sampson Ngerebara, raised the concern yesterday in Port Harcourt over widespread feeling of widening cracks in the Rivers APC, following tension generated by Saturday’s FRDI gathering at Bori, Ogoniland in honour of Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi in conflict with a separate APC Victory Thanksgiving involving Sen. Magnus Abe in Port Harcourt same day.

Ngerebara, former Rivers Commissioner, said, “The media particularly must stop blowing this issue out proportion. The invitation for Sen. Abe’s Port Harcourt event said it was a Thanksgiving by Abe, his family and few other members of the APC were putting together to appreciate God’s goodness. It was not an   entirely party affair.
