An Information Technology (IT) analyst, on Wednesday advised small business owners to take greater advantage of electronic mails to market their businesses.
Mr Ekundayo Ayeni, Chief Innovation Officer, BusinessPlus Services, Lagos, gave the advice in an interview with newsmenin Lagos.
He described such digital marketing as most penetrative and most guaranteed.
“E-mail is one of the lowest forms we have in digital marketing, but the most penetrative and the most guaranteed.
“We get over four billion mails globally, and that is because almost everybody has an e-mail address.
“This is why our organisation wants to train more people on how to use e-mails to market their products.
“BusinessPlus has the largest e-mail platform called `e-mail forest’; we will be educating people on how to use e-mails to transform their businesses,’’ he said.
He said that the company was also planning to organise sessions on e-mail nurturing and task automation.
According to the chief innovation officer, BusinessPlus has taught 15,000 men and women how to use digital marketing in businesses, since the company’s inception in 2013.
“We trained them on how to use Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, and other social media platforms to advertise and run their businesses,’’ he told newsmen.
He said that the organisation’s biggest achievements in 2017 were helping organisations some big organisations to build, transform, advertise and manage their social media platforms.
“We are committed to assisting the public and private sectors to thrive in their businesses through the use of digital marketing strategies,’’ Ayeni said.
