As the Super Eagles B squad jet out of the country today ahead of the 2018 Championship for African Nations (CHAN), captain of the team, Ikechukwu Ezenwa says they are ready to face any challenge that may come their way adding that they will be taking each game as it comes.

The championship which is the 5th  in the series will be holding in Morocco between January 13 and February 4, 2018.

Ezenwa who spoke to Sports Vanguard shortly after the team’s final training yesterday in Abuja further predicted a good outing for the team going by the level of preparations they had going into the tournament.

Recall that the team tutored by Salisu Yusuf participated in the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament which took place in Ghana in September. They also participated and won the Nigeria Professional Football League Super 6 as well as many other games while the team camped in Abuja.

“The preparation has been going on well. We have been playing some friendly games and I must say it has been good preparation all round.

The camping here in Nigeria is coming to an end and we are in good shape to continue the next face of preparation in Morocco ahead of our first match.

“Let me also add that we are going to take each game as it comes, we have had very good preparation so far and the unity in the team is awesome and with that, I am confident of a better outing than the last time in Rwanda.”

On whether the Super Eagles should draft some players from the squad into the main national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the shot stopper said he believes that Gernot Rohr will draft any player who distinguishes himself for the Russian trip.
