However, establishing a small and medium scale business in Nigeria is an uphill task, considering the various activities likely to be carried to enable brands patronage by prospective customers.

In view of this therefore, the Chief Executive of WDB brought out palliative simplified measure that would solve promotional problems in Nigeria. And that solution is to partner with ‘Whatsup Deals Blog’.

His words bellow: “Promotion is an important tool of business in Nigeria. Whatsup Deals Blog is the only blog in Nigeria that provides free publication of promotional offers and deals.

“We provide on-demand services like content promotion which we do even beyond our blog to other social media platforms. Equally it’s our duty also to publish interest stories targeted at one that is perhaps devoid of defamation. We run advertisement for social media marketing, businesses and events.

“Whatsup Deals Blog has helped put smiles on faces of business owners and customers even though it is a rising online platform in Nigeria. “The best, simple and easiest ways businesses can attract new customers are through continuous promotion, which is cheaper compared to other forms of marketing tools.

“All deals and promos published on Whatsup Deals Blog are copyrighted to their respective organizers. Many organizations and individuals send emails to have their promotions published for free on my blog.

“The usage rate and internet access to the millennial is the backbone of any online media.

“Without the internet, your online platform is inaccessible. The rise in internet users has increased traffic to a website. Hence, Whatsup Deals Blog has recorded spike in traffic and garnered massive readership in the past two years of operation.

“As a brand-centric online platform, we are trying to create solutions to problems facing businesses in Nigeria.

“So far, we have helped small and medium size businesses to increase their sales, build good brand perception by organising online promotions to reward both new and existing customers, and manage social media accounts to target key audience.

“From the name Whatsup Deals Blog, you have an idea of stories to find when you visit. Apart from deals and promos, we also write about latest brand trending stories that people need to know, events organised by organizations and companies”, he said.

He said they have STORY page, ACTIVE DEALS & PROMO page, INTERVIEW page and more on Whatsup Deals Blog (whatsup.com.ng).

The blog just celebrated its 2nd year anniversary with various awards splashed on individuals who emerged winners of the competitions. He said “I thought of rewarding Whatsup Deals Blog (WDB) readers and followers alike, for their love and support since we can’t exist without them. Every visit to whatsup.com.ng means a lot to me.

“When I started in 2015, I could recall how often I view the traffic statistics to monitor my progress and blog reach. Soon after, in 2016 I was more interested in providing accurate contents and quick response to comments. Later on I felt the need to do more of giving than “business as usual”.

In November 2016, WDB marked its 1st year anniversary with a selfie contest on Instagram tagged Whatsup Selfie Contest with support from Itel and other notable brands.

He said: “I thought of doing something bigger and better. So the idea of WDB Fast Challenge and WDB Meme Spree Contest popped in my head and I gave the two competitions a shot. The competitions were supported by Itel and Mistony, UK based Nigerian artiste.

“Whatsup Deals Blog has helped me create meaningful relationship with business owners and organisations across the country. “I owe all to God. He’s been my manager.

“As an undergraduate student reading Chemical Engineering, you can almost imagine the demands I have from school. On the contrary, I have been able to juggle activities of schooling with blogging by setting my priorities right. In other words, I maximize every opportunity I have. Sometimes I don’t sleep at all in the night and I find it difficult to nap.”

He said going into a very rare blog niche has been his biggest challenge. “Sometimes I run out of contents because it is not my thing to lift from another platform and upload to my blog without having a permission to do so. It has been quite challenging standing out to do something different”, he finally said.
