ASABA—CRISIS is looming in Delta State chapter of the  Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, over the  postponement of the election into its executive committee.

It will be recalled that the body’s election scheduled for December 1, in  Asaba, the state capital, was postponed after some delegates had arrived   venue of the election.

Concerned members of IPMAN, Delta State, are protesting the postponement, calling for the sealing off of the secretariat until the election is conducted.

The aggrieved members, in a letter addressed to the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, frowned at the unwillingness of the present leaders to relinquish power.

In a letter by Adesina Adeshola and Yusuf Adams, the aggrieved members also said collection of money by IPMAN executive should be stopped forthwith.

While saying a new date should be fixed without further delay, they said: “All IPMAN products allocation must be based on programming.”

Effort made to reach the incumbent Chairman, Mr Benjamin Emoefe, for comments on the matter proved abortive at press time as he did not pick calls put across to him by the Vanguard.
