The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has applauded the decision of the Court of Appeal, Abuja,  which struck out a suit instituted by Senator Umaru Dahiru, seeking to nullify the election of Sokoto State governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal.

Briefing newsmen in Sokoto, NANS Senate President, Comrade Bashir Gorau said the development further justified the mandate  given to  Tambuwal, adding that the victory belonged  to the people of the state.

His words: ‘’Even though the victory does not call for wild jubilation, we believe that it offers a golden opportunity for  Governor Aminu Tambuwal, to  build on  his developmental  vision.

‘’We also wish to assure the good people of Sokoto State,  that the Tambuwal’s administration will continue to put in place, tested and sustainable structures to revolutionize education, healthcare, agro-business, and  industrialization among other. Conscious efforts are also being made at creating jobs for the teeming unemployed in the state.

‘’We urge him to sustain the developmental programmes he is implanting in the state.’’
