The On-trade Manager of the Intercontinental Distillers Limited, one of the leading wines and spirit companies in Nigeria, Mr. Wilson Okonji, has advised the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to make the Lagos International Trade Fair’s environment noiseless next year.
He made this call yesterday at the ongoing 31st edition of the International Trade Fair. He observed that there was too much musical noise at the fair which, according to him was capable of affecting the ear drums of visitors and exhibitors at the fair. He advised the exhibitors to play their music within their vicinity with moderation.
Mr Okoji however commended the organizers of the Fair on improvement in the area of control of human traffic.
“Sales have not been encouraging this year. The human traffic has improved but the adverse economic situation of the country has affected sales at the Fair despite the customers’ zeals to patronize. There are more exhibitors this year than last year, when sales were better off,” he said.
At the pavilion of the Intercontinental Distillers Limited, numerous customers were entertained with acrobatic dancers; exotic wines and spirits which include: Bull Rum, Veleta fruit wine, Action bitters, Chelsea Dry Gin, Confirmed bitters, the RUM Chocolate, among others.
