Speaking at Central School Umunachi, Dunukofia Local Government Area, Anambra State, during the reception organised for his deputy governorship candidate, Mr. Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, Mr. Edochie said that for many years, he has met a lot of people in Nigeria and overseas and made them happy, and now he has come to make Anambra people happy with policies his administration will bring.

His words: “We are not coming to discredit what the elders, who have ruled and are still ruling the state have done. We are not quarrelling with them; they have done what they can do and have exhausted all the ideas they have. We want to add and do more than they have done.”

Mr. Okonkwo, a graduate of Mechanical /Production Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and Master’s Degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Staffordshire University, England, simply asked the people of Umunachi, and the Dunukofia council area, “will I come to my people to beg for vote?”

They shouted “No.”
