KATSINA—THREE suspected robbers were lynched by youths, when they robbed the residence of one Abdulmumini Daga and three others in Daga village, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Luck ran out for the robbers when the youths heard of their operations, mobilised and went afeter them.

The state’s Police Command spokesperson, DSP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred around 2:30a.m. on September 30, when the robbers fully armed with guns and ammunition, stormed Data village of Jibia Local Government.

He said before the Police got to the scene, the mobs had killed the suspects, adding that the Police Command has launched investigation into the killings.

He said the Police recovered AK-47 and six live ammunition, belonging to the robbers, adding that “their corpses were later taken to Federal Medical Centre, Katsina, where they were certified dead by a medical personnel.
