TRI which declared total support for the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi added that the solidarity match marked the beginning of a new life and excellence for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking, the President General of TRI, Mr. Lucky Omenka, expressed happiness with the security formation in ONELGA, noting that cult related activities and killings have been put to a stop by the proactiveness of all the security outfits in the area.

Omenka said: “We are here to declare total support for the leader of APC in the State, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi. When he was the governor of the state there was peace. But, due to the political tussle some areas experienced total breakdown in security.

“This LGA was terrible but today we can now enjoy peace because of the joint effort of the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Commander of Joint Military Task Force, JTF, in ONELGA and the Omoku Security Planning Advisory Committee, OSPAC. With the restoration of peace APC has pounced back and will win the 2019 election in the state.”

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of TRI, ONELGA branch, said: “For over three years now there has not been APC gathering in ONELGA because of how our members were been attacked and killed.

“Today is marking the first outing of APC in the area for some time now and the True Rivers Initiative is the originator. In ONELGA APC and True Rivers Initiative have come to stay. We will mobilize to ensure that APC wins the state in 2019.”
