BIRNIN KEBBI—GOVERNOR Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State has dismissed reports that the state accessed N10 billion from the primary education fund.
In an interview with newsmen in Birni Kebbi, Governor Bagudu disclosed that what the state actually accessed from the fund was N2.3 billion, adding that another N2.3 billion was accessed, which brought the total to N4.6 billion.

According to him, the money was expended on the renovation and upgrading of 16 secondary schools, 200 primary and junior secondary schools in the state.
He called on the media to always cross check their facts before going to press.
The governor commended the state assembly for its support to government’s projects, saying without the lawmakers’ support, no single project would be executed.
Governor Bagudu also thanked the people in the state for ensuring Nigeria remained as one entity, where everyone can pursue his/her objective in life.
He revealed that another team from abroad will visit the state for another round of medical outreach.
