16 international organizations endorse ALGONS C-LAP project

Over 16 International Heavyweights has endorsed the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Comprehensive Local Agriculture Plan (C-LAP) project and confirmed attendance of the seminar on 26th and 27th of October, 2017.

C-LAP is a Comprehensive Agricultural Plan for Local Government Areas and a blueprint for agricultural revolution in Nigeria.

According to the new executive committee of ALGON ably led by Hon. Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye, the association decided to key into the initiative so as to consolidate on the gains recorded  and transform the 774 local governments in Nigeria in line with the focus of the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, to develop the third tier of government, diversify the economy and make Nigeria not only self sustaining in food production but a major exporter of food.

“The association of the local government of Nigeria (ALGON) is adopting a bottom –up approach through a comprehensive plan for development of agriculture (CLAP) at “local government level” in 774 LGAs of Nigeria towards the improvement of the agricultural sector”, he said.

Name of the Organizations associated with C-LAP activities include Global AgriSystem Pvt Ltd, Eco Solutions Pvt Ltd, Progressive Research Organization for Welfare (PROW), Agro Services
House, Population, Women & Environment Development Organisation, New Age Green Solution Pvt Ltd, International Rice Research Institute, Carrier Point University, Hamirpur, University of Agriculture & Technology, Pant agar, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, GREENHOUSES LTD.

Others are Horticulture Produce Management Institute, Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), SR Services, Tractors Limited
Commercial, Michigan State University  East Lansing, Michigan, United States.
