Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC and coalition of civil society groups in Ekiti State yesterday, took to the streets of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital to celebrate the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigeria after 104 days in London on medical vacation.

THE Federal Government financial commitment to the training, empowerment and employment of unemployed youths in Nigeria is set to rise by 80 per cent or N240 billion in September this year. The government is currently spending N6.9 billion monthly for 200,000 youths enlisted in the programme, targeted at tackling increasing youth unemployment estimated at 40 million persons.

D’Tigress started the competition on a winning note defeating Mozambique 80-69 in their first game, whipped Democratic Republic of Congo 84-47 in the second and on Sunday defeated Egypt 106-72 to emerge the first team to book a place in the quarterfinal of the competition.

D’Tigress star player, Evelyn Akhator is confident Nigeria can win the 2017 FIBA Women Afrobasket, if the team remains focused as the tournament hots up in Mali. Nigeria will take on Guinea at 11.45am  today.
