Ozubulu attack desecrates our values – Nwoye

APC aspirant, Dr. Tony Nwoye, has flayed last Sunday’s attack on St. Philip’s Catholic Church Ozubulu as a desecration of the sacred values that the people of the state are known for as he charged the church to sharpen its message on salvation.

Reacting to the killings, Nwoye, a member of the House of Representatives, affirmed that neither money nor material things should make anyone do what was done last Sunday.

Nwoye while sympathising with the people of Ozubulu over the incident, also prayed God to comfort the families of the victims and grant speedy recovery to the survivors.

He said,“What happened in Ozubulu is a violation of the sacred faith we share in God. It is not our nature, and those who did it are detached from our community. This incident should make the Church to be more aggressive on the message of salvation because salvation as offered through Our Lord Jesus is the ultimate answer to such violence and it is my prayer that the Church should put more focus on this and relegate the matter of money .

“It is my prayer that God would in His infinite grace comfort as many as those  affected by this violence and cause speedy healing to all those who survived this. May it not happen in our land again.”
